Sabaton was one of the opening acts for Nightwish and they rocked the fuck out of the modular stage, like the ones at https://modularflatstaging.co.uk/, Their high energy is what really started the whole night. To be quiet honest it was really interesting to see the fact that three of the four member stayed in sync with their jumps, the way they played the guitar in a windmill motion and of course the classic headbanging. Not only was  their action on stage in perfect harmony. Hell even their pants matched  of camo and the back drop of soldiers fighting only added to how in touch the band was with the look they wanted to present on stage.

There was of course many songs that they played that were crowd favorites like “ Swedish Pagans”, and “The art of War”. These seemed to be the songs that the fans wanted to hear because everyone one was eating up their performance. In fact fans around me were saying how could Nightwish possibly follow up with a  performance like that? With a band this full of energy it only made it easy for the next band to come on stage and keep the high energy alive.

When Nightwish came on stage, they had a much different kind of set up then the band before. Their mics were tree looking people with a full moon back drop. This is something that is nice to see because it sets up for something more then just music. When Floor Jansen came out on stage it was very hard to keep your eyes off of her. She is just tall and beautiful and her outfit was of leather and a glitter design. When the lights hit her just right she glittered on stage while she was singing her perfect notes. It was very easy to hear every word that she was singing and in the HOB it can happen were the vocals sound like shit. This was not the case in the least bit. Not only did she glitter on stage but she was head banging in high heels which only goes to show that women can do anything better then a man because they can do it in heels.

Personally my favorite part of any show with a band that has a key board player is watching them play. I don't think that anyone gets more into a show then a key board player and Tuomas Holopainen. With his long beautiful hair that puts many people in general to shame Holopainen played the key board with such enthusiasms it was hard to not watch him. Seriously if you ever have a chance to watch the this band you need to watch him.

Marco Hietala also played this instrument a bass and guitar mix that was very interesting to watch. It created such a great sound that seeing it is much different then hearing it on a record. It gives this whole new appreciation to how difficult it is to play an instrument like that. It was also nice to see the different flute, pipes and whistles. Seeing how the sound is put together really does change everything. There is so much work that goes into getting the sound that they create that is is intense to see. Some of the songs that they played were “Weak Fantasy”, Storytime”,”Shudder before the Beautiful”, and “The Islander”.

Both of these bands played a fantastic show. It was really great to see how some of the sounds was created from Nightwish and it was great to see how much work Sabaton buts into the craftsman ship of there performance. These bands were a great team to tour together because they worked well together.
